🐛 Fixes to what the app was reporting
- Property sale rows now reconcile. The Real Estate tab rebuilt each sale in the browser and derived "taxes on sale" as a leftover, which absorbed the difference between a property's displayed value (market appreciation) and the price it actually sold at (your sale-price growth rate). A real $20,482 tax was showing as $37,386. The row now reports the transaction as executed — price, selling costs, payoff, tax — and adds up.
- Portfolio Flow's sale figures explain themselves. Hover Property Sales or Brokerage Stocks for the full derivation, including selling costs and mortgage payoff that are settled at closing and never reach your cash account.
- The plan grade now describes the plan on screen. With the Assumptions panel or a What-If scenario active, the grade badge and its written explanation could disagree out loud — badge "Soaring", text "your plan earns an In Flight grade".
- PDF report corrections. It printed a 4% bond yield and 1.8% dividend yield when the projection used 3.5% and 2%, showed a hardcoded 85% target allocation, and listed two tax rates the projection no longer applies.
- Insight messages pointed to a "My Plan → Roth & Cash" screen that doesn't exist. They now name the real locations.

🎉 New: $3 day pass — full access for 24 hours
- A one-time $3 purchase unlocking Optimizer, Monte Carlo, Historical Backtest, and Compare Alternatives for 24 hours. No subscription, no auto-renewal.
- Deliberately narrow: no Ask AI, no PDF/CSV downloads, and no budgeting module. It's for answering one specific question in an evening, not a substitute for a subscription.
- Buying a pass while one is already running queues it to start when the current one ends, rather than overwriting it.

🔧 Subscription and access changes
- Cancelling a subscription now ends access when the paid period does. Previously a cancelled account quietly kept a free tier indefinitely. Your plans and data are untouched and return the moment you buy a day pass or resubscribe.
- The separate $7 export purchase is gone — exports are included with every subscription.
- Closed a gap where a lapsed account could still read plan data directly, rather than only being blocked in the interface.

✨ Dashboard and Monte Carlo presentation
- The dashboard now leads with cash on hand rather than net worth — the number that tells you whether this year works.
- Monte Carlo results appear on the chart they describe, with the probability fan scrolled into view, clearer band edges, and the legend beside the chart instead of below it.
- Once a Monte Carlo run finishes, the panel collapses to a compact receipt instead of holding the full form open.
- The view switcher is separated from Actionable Insights, and the re-scoring indicator sits next to the controls that trigger it.

✨ Optimizer results you can reconcile
- Every dollar figure in the optimizer now reports the same thing — Net Legacy, what your heirs keep after tax — and all of them follow the Nominal $ / Today's $ toggle. Several previously mixed the two, so a headline could disagree with the recommendation it was summarising.
- Reliability now scores the package you have selected, rather than counting how many recommendations are individually robust. On plans where the changes only pay off in combination, the old figure could read 0% while the package itself was strongly positive across simulated markets.
- Unticking a recommendation re-scores the whole result against what you actually kept: the headline, the median and worst-case outcomes, safe-to-spend, and reliability. Previously some of those figures kept describing the full set.
- The results panel is now a single card that shows its own arithmetic — ending net worth gain, plus the heir tax the strategy removes, equals the Net Legacy gain. Where a plan's after-tax gain exceeds its before-tax gain, you can now see exactly why.
- Plans that run out of money are measured in time. Where every dollar figure is zero because nothing is left either way, recommendations are judged on how many years longer the money lasts.
- "How we optimized this" collapses to one scannable line per phase, with the detail behind a click, and now reports each phase's own contribution.
- Because of these corrections, saved optimizer results from before this release are cleared — re-run the Optimizer to see the updated figures. The recommendations themselves are unchanged; only how they were reported.

🐛 Optimizer accuracy fixes
- Plans that could be rescued by working a year or two longer weren't getting that recommendation — retirement-date changes weren't factoring in the extra salary. Fixed for both the Optimizer and What-If scenarios.
- Plans projected to run short could show nonsensical figures (billion-dollar "benefits," negative values) in the Optimizer's explanations. These now show a plain-English explanation — like how many extra years your savings last.
- Fixed wording that could describe claiming Social Security earlier as "delaying" it.
- Clarified Roth conversion guidance when it and a Social Security change achieve the same result — previously read as "Roth won't help," now explains they're alternatives.
- Applying or previewing Optimizer results could produce a different plan than the summary reported. Preview, Save, and the Optimized view now match exactly.

✨ Easier to find your heirs' tax rate
- Moved into its own highlighted Legacy assumptions section in the Portfolio step, and now shown alongside your Estate / legacy goal — it's the setting that determines how much of a Traditional IRA your heirs keep, and whether the Optimizer favors Roth conversions.

🔧 Improvements
- Standardized several pages (Firms, Client Plans, Changelog admin, Feedback admin) to use the full browser width, matching the rest of the app.
- The account activity history in the admin panel now paginates for accounts with a long history, instead of loading every event at once.

🐛 Fixed Monte Carlo and Historical Backtest for portfolios weighted toward retirement accounts
- If most of your savings were in a Traditional IRA, 401(k), or Roth IRA rather than a regular brokerage account, Monte Carlo simulations and historical backtests weren't applying market ups and downs to those balances — every simulated outcome came out nearly identical, understating both the risk and the range of possible results. Retirement account balances now experience realistic year-to-year market swings just like brokerage accounts, so the probability fan and backtest results reflect real portfolio risk.

🐛 Fixed a critical gap in the Life Insurance Needs calculator
- The insurance-gap calculator could report $0 additional coverage needed for households where the survivor's savings would actually run out years into retirement — the check was looking for a signal that could never trigger. It's now based on whether the survivor's plan runs out of money, and the recommended coverage amount is solved precisely rather than approximated.
